Here are some of the commissions I have completed. They are always a challenge and an exciting journey. Often they require a diversion from my regular style to meet the specifications of the client's project. Some are awards, some are making real the fancies of my clients hearts.
"Atlas", first one of a kind was commissioned by a private party. A new, similar series was created later using different molds to change parts of the body and clothing under agreement with the owner of the first piece. The new series of eight is entitled "Atlas Uplifting the Universe". This slide show shows the foundry process. It took 2 1/2 years to complete and 24 four hour sessions with the model, the two-time world champion acrobatic gymnast, Arthur Davis III.

Pacific Elementary School commission of Pacific Panther, donated by the 5th grade class of 2013. Their beloved mascot was a caricature drawing by another artist of the past and with her permission, recreated by Cinthia Joyce to stand in front of their school. The medium was Hydrocal and laytex paint. Here is a YouTube showing how it was sculpted, using a very unusual method with liquid Hydrocal.
