I enjoy painting from life as much as possible.

Getting to know my models and really pay intense attention to their appearance as well as their inner spirit is a sacred honor.

​ I love painting in oil, but also in acrylic or watercolors.  Each medium has its own limitations and merits.  ​I like layering and glazing color transparently over other colors.  It subtly adds to the form and mood, whereas textures and more intense colors can add energy and zest.
